    New Microsoft Commercials

Just today Microsoft released 3 more TV ads not starting Bill Gates or Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry Seinfeld was “cut” and now it is phase two of Microsoft’s 300 million dollar ad campaign.

The first two ads with Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld were terrible, at least that’s what I think. I know a lot of other bloggers and YouTubers thought they were terrible too. Personally I think that they were to hard to understand. Ads need to be straight forward, and those two first ads were anything but straight forward. Some people on You Tube thought they were funny. I don’t know, if they were funny I completely missed the joke. I didn’t see how they were funny at all, mainly the first one¬†the first one. The first commercials were terrible.

Now the second phase of Microsoft’s ads… I thought the second group of ads are much, much, better. The first reason why they are better is, they are short. Just like the “Get a Mac” ads, 30 seconds long. The second reason why they are better is, they are straight forward and tell everyone what they are trying to say. I know they aren’t as straight forward as they could be, but you have a general idea of what they are trying to tell you. The third reason why the second group is better is because of the name. Microsoft has named the new ads “I’m a PC”. I thought that this was a great title! Good job Microsoft! A nice “short and sweet” title, I really like it.

So what are the new Microsoft ads trying to say to the watcher? I think they are trying to say that you can use a PC anywhere at anytime, that anyone can use it, and it is a computer for everyone. In this ad they show many differnent kinds of people, from jean designers to Obama bloggers to deep sea divers to your everyday american. It also tells you that anyone can use it. Since there are many different people from all different walks of live in these ads it shows people that anyone can use a PC.

The new Microsoft ads are much better than the old ones, I like them so much more. Bravo Microsoft!

New iPod nanos and iPod touches! (Rumors)

Well these two rumors have been around for a while, the 4G iPod nano and the 2G iPod touch. Personally I can’t wait for either. They both seem to have great changes to their “form”, I can’t wait to see how the new ones look.

By the rumors the 4G iPod nano is going back to its last “tall” form, and it is going to have curved edges just like the newer MacBook Air. The new 3G iPhone also has the curved back to it. I personally don’t like the tall nano, I think that the short one looks a lot better, but I understand that they want to enlarge the screen for viewing video. l I like the new curved products by Apple, I think they make them look amazing. I do wonder about the colors that they will be available with. I think that I like the new 3G colors compared to the 2G colors.

The new iPod touch, also has many changes to it’s look. For starters the back is looking more like the iPhone, which I think is a great idea. The second change is on the side, volume buttons! I know many people in the Apple community have wanted this for so long and it looks like it will finally get put on the new iPod touch. The one thing that I would really want for the next iPod touch to have is for it to be available in colors. I’m not talking about blue, green, and red. Just the black and white like the iPhone, I would love that.

There are many rumors that the iPod touch will be getting GPS. I have mixed feelings about having GPS in the iPod touch, but I personally don’t think it is a good idea. I think if it got GPS, a lot of people that want iPhones would just buy the iPod touch and they wouldn’t have to deal with the cell phone plan and AT&T. I think that I would rather have a speaker and a mic. I think so many people would buy the iPod touch if it had a speaker, it would be so nice not to have to use your headphones all the time.

So, I can’t wait till September 9th. It should be a great day. So what do you think about these new rumored iPod’s? Do you like the new iPod nano? Should the iPod touch have GPS? Let me know what you think, leave a comment or email us at gadgetsandtech@gmail.com.

Google Chrome looks like a great web browser

Just today I downloaded Google Chrome, Google’s new internet web browser. Yesterday Google announced that they would be releasing Chrome today. The news was all over tech blogs. Google Chrome installed surprisingly fast and has been working absolutely fabulous. This web browser is only available for Windows and Linux right now but they said that Chrome will come out for Mac soon.¬†Currently Chrome is in beta, but it is a very reliable web browser that hasn’t crashed or lagged once on me yet.

The one thing that I love about Chrome is it’s simplicity. Chrome is the most simple web browser I have ever seen. All it has is tabs on the top with the web address bar right under it. The back, forward, and refresh buttons are to the right of the address bar and tools and preferences to the right. I think that this gives Google a big advantage over many other web browsers, because I’m sure that everyone wants things to be simple. You may notice that I didn’t talk about a search bar. That is because that the search bar is integrated into the address bar, all you have to do is start typing, click enter and your searching Google!

If you want to download Google Chrome you can go to this link. I would highly suggest downloading Chrome, it looks like it is set to be a fantastic internet browser.

Dude, it’s not available for Linux yet, much to my disappointment. It’s looking good.

it will be interesting to see if Chrome can get as much market share as Firefox; for now they seem to have leveled off…
